The question from my POV is, why should the chess club be allowed to use school facilities to meet, but not the bible club? As Mmario tried to say, the separation of church and state is supposed to prevent the state endorsing one religion over another; it's not supposed to be the state impeding any and all religions. This particular "club" requires parental permission before kids can join. It's not like there's a bunch of wild-eyed fundamentalists luring people's kids away from them.
Kat, I think (respectfully of course) you're overreacting.
