8 Pints, You caught me! Glad you refreshed the thread.

The song is "Drink to the Laddies" by Sue West, currently of York, Maine, a ballad expert who's written several songs over the years, including a ballad Sheila Stewart (of Blairgowrie) wanted to learn. I don't know if Sue's written any other chorus songs.

I'll ask Sue if she'd like the lyrics posted on the Mudcat.

I have a zillion things going on right now. If you don't hear from me in a couple of weeks, email me at judypredmore@webtv. I can send you a tape of the song, but that might take me even longer than getting the lyrics to you... Or I could sing it to you over the phone.

Do any of you have a photo or two of some of the Song Carrier singers that I might've met that night, (with or without some I didn't meet)? I take so few photos, I often leave my camera in my room, especially if I'm lugging my tape recorder around... I'd love a photo to remember the evening. It'll probably be another year or two before I get back there...

Keep in touch, Judy
