A) THE PRETENDER - A Story of the Latin Quarter - ROBERT W. SERVICE, 1914 Dodd, Mead & Company - hardback, good condition w/some wear on the edges and a couple of light spots on the front

B) MAVERICKS -A gripping yarn of the painted Southwest - WILLIAM MACLEOD RAINE, 1912 hardback in good condition w/dust jacket with tears, part of the intro reads, A thrilling story of a girl, who born and bred to the border life, looked level-eyed at her loveres and judged them by the out-door(sic) tests of gameness and efficiency... Sounds a bit like our Annette and what she did to Curioso!

C) THE WESTERNERS - STEWART EDWARD WHITE, 1901 Grosset & Dunlap, old library hardback book, from a sale back east, fairly good condition with a pretty embossed front of flowers entwined around mining tools, front is inscribed to me from my brother

D) GENE AUTRY and the Thief River Outlaws - BOB HAMILTON illustrated by DAN MULLER - 1944, another Whitman kid's book, good condition, inside pages are yellowed

E) THE LONE RANGER at the HAUNTED GULCH - FRAN STRIKER, "author of the famous radio adventure series", 1941, hardback, good condition inside, spine is a little loose

F) FLYING U RANCH - B.M. BOWER, 1914 hardback good condition, great embossed cover of a cowboy on his horse, roping a longhorn

G) DEATH STALKS THE RANGE A Western Novel - BRETT RIDER 1945, hardback, good consition, pages are yellowed

H) THE OX-BOW INCIDENT - WALTER VAN TILLBERG CLARK 1945, hardback good condition

I) HEIDI - JOHANNA SPYRI, 1944, another Whitman children's hardback, spine has been taped, pages are yellow

J) WAHSINGTON'S BIRTHDAY Its History, Observance, Spirit, & Significance as Related In Prose & Verse, with a Slection from Washington's Speeches & Writings - ROBERT HAVEN SCHAUFFLER, 1937 edition red hardback, embossed with eagle and flag in black, good condition

K) THE WONDER BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE The Marvels of Modern Industry and Invention, The Interesting Stories of Common Things, The Mysterious Processes of Nature Simply Explained - HENRY CHASE HALL, 1923 - illustrated with 780 photographs and drawing - hardback, some discoloration and spine is coming loose from binding, all pages intact and good condition

L) FIVE LITTLE PEPPERS AND HOW THEY GREW - MARGARET SIDNEY - Goldsmith PUblishing edition, no date, probably 1950's, not very many by Goldsmith out there, hardback, good condition, some fading of colour on spine

M) RACCOONS ARE THE BRIGHTEST PEOPLE - STERLING NORTH, 1966, hardback with dustjacket, good condition with 87 "remarkable photographs"

N) THE TOURIST'S ATLAS OF GERMANY - Kartographisches Institut und Verlag Hans Konig, no date, but my brother had it when he was there in the early 1960's. Wonderful maps, each printed on its own page, with the next connected to it, but not printed on its back, if that makes sense. "Special maps with detaield descritions of Sights, Scenery, Sports, and Many Other Features" hardback, good condition, does have an owner's inscription

O) ALICE IN WONDERLAND - LEWIS CARROL, 1955, another edition by Whitman, great cover illustration, spine is very loose

P) WOMEN'S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF HEALTH & EMOTIONAL HEALING - DENISE FOLEY, EILEEN NECHAS & Editors of Prevention Magazine - 1993, "Top Women Doctors Share Their Unique Self-Help Advice on Your Body, Your Feelings, Your Life" oversized hardback, good condition, owner's name in front
