It rather depends on many variables just coming right....you can't hear it in the winter at night (too much foreign interference) but it's acceptable during the day. It's inaudible during a lot of the day in the summer, but ok in the morning and evening. Unfortunately medium wave does suffer from static (lightning discharge) problems in the summer.
