Thread Name: Catspaw - good news!
Subject: RE: CATSPAW - GOOD NEWS!!!
And, another update...I feel like Connie and I have been stringers at an important, breaking news event for the Neil Young Center newsbeat or something!**BG**

Oh before I forget, she is editing out all references, in the previous thread's messages, to fundraising at this point, so we can keep the surprise element for when he is feeling better. She asked and I told her I thought that was best. No use in hitting him over the head with so much love and ambarrassment all at once. He will be pleased but embarrassed! Anyway, here's the latest from Connie:

latest word from Wayne is that the medical staff is looking towards 8-10 p Ohio time Daylight Savings for taking Pat off the vent and pulling out the Endo-trachial tube.

K and W have been into see P. He appears to recognize them and is responsive ( i didn't catch if that was reflexive or to command).

K is napping in the waiting room having basically gotten little to no sleep last night. Pat was uncomfortable and up and down til about 3a, I think K said. Finally K and Nurse convinced him a sleeping pill was in his best interest. Personally, i think he would have been alot better off if he could have been on mudcat awhile...but...soon. I will take/or send with K, everyone's best wishes, prayers, etc., that I have printed off.

You all are a real blessing...I'm so glad that Pat has so many friends who get to enjoy his unique style; and for those of you who have had the blessing of really getting to know him and share with him - we can probably all agree that he's quite multi-faceted, and a character to boot! It's not always easy to get next to Pat, but you are so right about his big, caring heart. Pat truly respects people who have developed talent/skill, but more than anything else it seems that who he really honors and deeply respects most are those who are passionate and compassionate. An awful lot of you are just that.

Thanks so much to all of you for your love and concern; kind and hilarious expressions to Pat and the 'spaw family.

More as it develops~ Connie

I agree, Connie, it's too bad he couldn't have had the Mudcat last night. Which gives me an idea. We could market the Mudcat for the healing tool it is, pipe it in to pre-surgery patients, get them into PalTalk and play for them, have chats for them, threads for them, just do our Mudcat do and slide them right on into the next day with nary a jitter, in positive spirits and ready to heal up! YeeHaw!
