Sorry ... the incongruity threw me. Then I remembered that Robeson was a political activist, so his recording the song no longer seems so outlandish.

I do have a version of Kevin Barry by Lonnie Donegan. Much though I am usually in awe of the man, I think he made a bit of a mistake including this in his repertoire. Ouch!
