Well, there were these two contemporary songs I thought I might do at the club, so off I went to OLGA and found versions of both. Not the versions I knew best (although I did know one of the OLGA versions. Olga turned up Come Away Melinda by Uriah Heep (which I do know of but...) and Morning Dew (a/k/a "Walk Me out in the Morning Dew") by the Grateful Dead (or was it the Greenwich Village Fuggs, I forget now but although I had heard of the band I had never heard them do the song). The chords seemed a bit odd and so did some of hte words. Now I thought I knew them both as Tim Rose songs, so I went to the official Tim Rose site, and sure enough he had recorded them both although it didn't seem wholly clear that he had written them. So I emailed Tim Rose and didn't get an answer to that question (reasonable enough, since I didn't ask it), and apparently neither has been published as dots, but I could buy a CD frome the site. But much as I'd like to, I'm a cheapskate, so I still haven't got the chords and/or words of the versions I'm looking for.Next stop the Mudcat. And guess what?
I can't find them there either!
I'm open to suggestions.
I'm looking for words, chords, and possibly a midi of the tune since I remember the Tim Rose version of Morning Dew jumping around in fifths (or possibly thirds) between verses - but maybe I misremember or that might have been a different version.
