Bob Franke's "Healing In This Night". A friend of mine adopted it after her father died, both as a conduit for sharing her grief with her friends and thanking them for their support. After my grandfather passed away and she was one of those who lent their support to **me**, I found myself equally touched by the song. Also Fred Small's "Cranes over Hiroshima", especially when filk group Musical Chairs used to perform it. One of their members was a sign-language interpreter; she did an absolutely lovely and tear-jerking signing of the song.
