I liked the old flag. The new one looks like a gas station logo. The old one had symbols in it for most of the significant cultural groups that made up Canada's heritage (with the possible exception of Native Americans)...and it was more colorful. The new one should have had some symbol or color in it somewhere to show the presence of the French. It doesn't. It has only 2 colors...red for the land, the blood, and the British), white for spirit. Not enough.

However, I can live with it. No big deal.

Canada Day in Orillia featured a day that looked beautiful, but was friggin' COLD!!!!! 53 degrees F.!!! Just a few days ago we were dying of the heat here, and now I'm wondering if we'll get frost tonight.

Makes you wonder just what the hell is going on with the weather here. Unbelievable for July 1st.
