I think the photos are mainly good for putting a face on the people with whom we are in touch through the Mudcat. Given the fact we're scattered round the globe, I think the chances of ever getting to meet most people directly is pretty remote. But faces and pictures make people real, and that probably helpd to keep us more civil than we might sometimes become in times of disagreement.

So I really wish there were lots more people putting pictures into the rogues gallery. If they are shy, and want to stay anonymous, they could always wear disguises or false beards or even masks. Or cartoons.
