No, you have to be one of Rick's more deluded students to carry his luggage, in the vain hope that one day he will say, "He was a student of mine, I can't even carry X's instrument case now". He hasn't carried anyone else's case in my memory, so maybe this is his way of flattering his ex-students and making the ever-receding goal recede even further for his current ones. The deluded students fight to carry his luggage, it is pathetic. He has to fight them off when he goes to the airport, etc. I have seen fistfights break out over Rick's carryon luggage. Those of us who are undeluded, and are not worthy even to carry his flatpicks, enjoy this macabre spectacle.
