In '99 we drove from the Rutland, VT, area to Saratoga, Wyoming, and return, to perform at a weekend arts festival. We were well paid by our standards, but still took a net loss on our travel expenses. More of a loss if you count the side trip to Elderly and the cost of getting out of there. Great trip, though.
