Can anyone help me with this request I received?

Teardrop Native American PSA

I am dreadfully curious about a song from a PSA that launched the "pitch in" slogan. it was around the time of the native American with the teardrop. If anybody can track down a clue about the identity of the composer, the artist and the lyrics please help. Here is what i remember of the lyrics:
