Here's an example of my folk-processing:

There's a mist on the glass congealing;
'Tis the furies' fiery breath;

Instead of the original:

There's a mist on the glass congeling,
'Tis the hurricane's firey breath,

I prefer the illiteration and I never could figure out what a "hurricane" was doing in India.
