My dad's in his upper 80's and his memory winks in and out... and so do his stories... Whether you go to live near your dad or not, my humble advice is that you be near him anyway (by phone, fax, internet, whatever): talk to him and find those stories of his before they're lost to you.

Thank you for considering the needs of all the animals as well as all the humans! Your daughter may not see that now, but hopefully she will in time to make responsible decisions about animals when she's making them on her own.
