Despite what any of us think of Geoffrey Boycott (and for most of us he will gone down in our estimation after the revelations about manhandling his missus), he *did* however have a great put down for someone who accused him of having a big arse, to wit:

"It takes a big hammer to drive a long nail."

I'd like to be able to handle such abuse as you took with the type of aplomb which you demonstrated.
