Sorry for the band width, but seeing the story made me think that perhaps you guys could help. I've been looking for a story called the "Ideas merchant"

It's about a merchant who sets up shop at a small market with nothing in his shop and proceeds to sell ideas... and this is where memory fails me.

I have been looking for a copy/printing/lead on the story ever since I heard it 2 years ago at a storytellers guild meeting.
