Chansons des Noiseaux Perdus contains several references to this remarkable woman (or, according to sum scholars, femme soi-disante) and her career. What has never been satisfactorily explained, however, is the changes in her style following her first summer in Toronto. It is believed that she was possibly annexed by the charismatically impecunious influences of the academic ecological movement, or the grass-roots musician's community, or perhaps both. In any case all scholars agree that this visit was a turning point in he rlife and stamped her future career with vicissitudes of great magnitude.
