I know, it hurts, even that cheapie guitar I bought for $8 at Goodwill, cleaned it up and put new strings on it, checked that the action was OK, and gave to a neighbor's kid. I asked her later how she was getting on with it and she replied "I never get to play it much+, my sisters keep stealing it". So I guess I really gave it to the whole family.

So don't worry, your fiddles will think loving thoughts about you every time they are played.
