Around the mid 70s, a couple of lads called Burke and Jerk did a floor spot at the Ring o'Bells folk club in Middleton, Manchester. They weren't folk, but they were one of the funiest acts I have ever seen. They dissappeared from view onlt to re-emerge as Brian and Michael.
