I hear you. I was only joking about the "paint drying shanty" but were you suggesting "All on the Bow Line"?
I was mildly interested but was having difficulty with the primer
viz "being given the brush-off", drips and non-drips (anyone got a rhyme for thixatropy?) towns like Brighton, Cromer (ha) and Paignton came to mind but I sort of dried-up (oh a funny and I didn't realize).
I haven't made a vynil decision, but if the motivation kicks-in who am I to gloss-over it or let it varnish without trace? Its not as if we have to walk on egshell is it? Artex - but not as we know it.
Here, I hand the batten on - oops I think I dropped it.
I knew a guy who sold equipment to test the "dryness" of paint - more sort of the residual hardness - very important QA in the automotive industry. Now he sells colour measuring devices but in the same market. Fortunately he had a patient sense of humour - had to I guess.
"Pencil Sharpening Shanty". As for the tune/word fit - it is a bit contorted particularly the important mood-setting first line and "Girlfriend" but I took the route that I had to let go the song for it to live so left it for the singer to choose.
