Any of the tunes mentioned are great. I think any of Turloch O'Carolan's tunes: LORD INCHWIN, FANNY POWER(my favorite slogan) are a good place to start. If you are going to try Sean-Nós airs, get recordings of them, they are quite impossible to notate and difficult for a begginer to follow.The book,"Traditional Slow Airs of Ireland" by Tomás Ó Canainn has a recording that comes with it. Séamus Ennis is another great musician to listen to for slow airs.
