I see your points that 'translators' have a right also to transform songs into something else which seems to be better to them. But it seems such a shame that too often this is done the 'toning down' way (the way of the money). I know of many examples where I like the translation as much as the original but I know of too many cases where I cringe when I hear the translation (e.g. Seasons in the sun) to a song I love in the original. Maybe just the disappointment that they leave out the part that endears the original song to you.Wolfgang
