There's a mighty tree, known as the Mighty Oak, which is certainly a few hundred years old; there are a few hundred acres of mature forest, and a few thousand of forestry plantations. And Nottingham's castle is hugely eclipsed by many others, but the city does claim to have the oldest pub in Britain, the Trip to Jerusalem. It was from there (allegedly) that Robin and his merry men set forth on King Richard's crusade against Saladin.

Until a year or two ago, you could at least have visited "the World of Robin Hood," built around the set of the Kevin Costner film, but I'm afraid even that's gone now. Maybe the sheriff is still in office though, because someone keeps hiking up the council tax.
