I was born in a hospital bed in the maternity room of the Lady Home Cottage Hospital in the village of Douglas,in the shadow of the magnificent Tinto Hill, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
To the best of my knowledge, Lady Home was the wife, mother or some other female relation of Sir Alex Douglas Home ex British Prime Minister.
