I heard a story a few years back of a man (a US citizen, allegedly) who used the side of his hammer-head to knock in nails. Needless to say, one day he gave a good hard clout and the head shattered, causing some injury to the idio operator. He successfully sued the manufacturers on the grounds that there were no instructions! But a year or so later I bought a hammer which had a sticker on the stale wich started off "Important: instructions for use"!
