I tried to find the words and music to a Bushwackers song (Australian bush band) called Past Carin'. It is a woman's lament about having to endure such hard times out on an isolated farm and she has endured so much that she has grown to be past caring. It's very poignant. If it is a Henry Lawson poem, and I suspect it is, then I will look it up and type in the words, and maybe put the tune in as well. There are other Henry Lawson poems/songs on similar themes. Also, what is the song about a woman who has suffered from domestic violence from her husband for years and she finally takes her revenge and buys herself enough time to leave him safely by sewing him into the bed with a needle and thread when he is dead drunk?
