Dear Bart, The song that you were referring to is called: Rainy Day Women ( if my memory is still working ). I just started to perform Bride 1945 a few weeks back. You are right , what a great song. All of those World War II brides and all of the homes in Buffalo suburbs constructed in the 50's.( I grew up in one ) Each of his songs play movies in my head. He did go to Greenwich Village around 64-65 and all of his major influences were country, like Hank Snow & Hank Williams Sr. . However, he did indeed , spend some time with Dylan ( And man you can hear it clearly in Paul's writing ) and I love the story that he taught Dylan how to sing for Nashville Skyline. ( Although ,thats a hard one to verify it's a great rumour , I'd like to spread.)
