OH, dorrie, I am sorry for you and your mum. Two weeks ago I had to have my oldest Siamese, Heyokah, "my boy" put down. It is so hard when they have to leave us.

I am sure she had a very good life with you and you will have wonderful memories of her to comfort you. Shambles is right, though, they are very much a part of the family and we have to let the grief come through, no matter what anyone might say or think.
