Hi, Pete - the Time-Life site was confusing to me. What they call four volumes appears to be 4 CD's, what Collector's Choice refers to as volumes 1 and 2 (2 CD's each). Seems that Time-Life is about as unclear online as it is on TV - they make it really hard to figure out what the total cost is. I guess there must be lots of people willing to buy without knowing the price. I don't like it, though.
If you go to Collectors' Choice and look at the songs in volumes 3 and 4, you might wonder if they are what we would call folk music. Lovin' Spoonful singing "Do You Believe in Magic"? Feliciano singing "Light My Fire"? I kinda like a number of the songs, but calling them "folk music" just doesn't feel right.
