The version I have is called RED ROSY BUSH. The lyrics seem to be the same as you posted:

I wish I was a red rosy bush,
On a bank beside the sea,

I wish I had a golden box,

I'd take her out and I'd kiss her twice,
Then (and) put her right back again.

I've sung that song for years and can't recall where I first heard it. Anywhat that's the way I wrote it down and the way I sing it.
