Wow, that's a name from the past! I understand Mike went to live in Ireland some years ago. I still sing his song about John Willie Lees beer, and whenever I do I always say who wrote it and then ask if anyone knows where he ended up. It was such a question that got the Ireland answer. I too used to go to The Ring o' Bells in the mid 70s. Do you know what happened to Eric Peacock, the concertina player who used to be resident there with Ken & Mags Whiting? (They moved to Glossop). I used to turn up on a motorcycle, the only club attendee who did at that time. Being a club member, I also used to go to Bury Folk club, they had a reciprocal membership arrangement.

I don't remember Tom Yates by name but may recognise him if I saw him.
