I will say that I think Iris DeMent has a wonderful voice. As wonderful as her insight and skill as a song writer. Her voice wraps around her songs perfectly. Her songs are very visual and she writes as if the songs are movies and she is character just of camera. I can't think of a person who could do her songs equal justice.
