I always thought it was a collective effort but to be fair every writer, musician etc has their gems and also their lumps of Shit. Did Dylan write some crap? certainly he did that is part of writing, and growth. It's also what enables him to turn out the masterpieces he has and continues to turn out. Did he change history? Yes, but then we all do in our way. CY, I'm glad his music had such a profound effect on you. It means you're not dead or stupid. I've always liked his music.
