Thanks to all who posted above, telling me to go to Durham. It was excellent. I did solo song (Sandra Joyce), and was also in the "band with song" group with Graham & Eileen Pratt, where I did get to use my fiddle!

..You really don't stop all week, do you? I was keeping up ok until Saturday, but then I just had to leave the folk picnic for a few hours to have a lay down and recover (after playing/singing up at Durham Johnson School until 2am the night before) before going to the song concert & closing concert.

No doubt I'll go again some time; maybe next year if I've fully recovered by then! :-)

P.S. As well as all the Folkworks events, I also enjoyed a visit to Durham Folk Club at the Colpitts pub (Thursday nights); there were 28 people in the little snug bar - the most people per square foot I've ever seen squeezed into a folk club...plus impressive chorus singing!
