I gotta agree with maryrrf. Girvan in Ayrshire has got to be one of the best small festivals. First weekend in May, it has a great mixture of Irish, Scottish and north English music. And it's a musicians festival with a very healthy ratio of musicians to punters. The session quality is as good as any All Ireland Fleadh except you don't have the hastle of trying to get a seat in a session and have some drunk pouring Guinness down your neck!!
