Hollywood has some terrific film making tools at its disposal these days, thanks to such wonderful high tech advances and some very talented artists - but they waste it on such crap as historical corrections and stories that press their political perspectives.

What's wrong with just telling a story? Why do they feel I need a lesson in morality from Ben Affleck or a new understanding of the true meaning of life from Catherine Zeta Jones?

I find the historical rewrites extremely insulting. They insist on putting their heros back in time with a 21 century mindset and they totally ignore any of the facts that get in the way - they even ignore all the cultural understanding we have of the period.

Hollywood is NOT concerned with art. It is concerned with box office smash hits. Lowest common demononator wins.
