Anyone going to the Valley Of The Moon Scottish Fiddling School? 18th year for this incredible school and camp, held in the Santa Cruz mountains in California, run by Alasdair Fraser. Howie MacDonald, from Cape Breton, will also be teaching, as well as a hardanger fiddler from Norway, Annborg Lien. Christine Primrose will teach gaelic songs, Hanneke Cassel and Laura Risk will teach beginning fiddlers, Barbara MacDonald Magone, Cape Breton piano, and Steve Baughman, guitar workshops. Over 200 fiddlers, singers, cellists, guitar players, etc. at this camp, and the craic and comraderie is incredible. Any Mudcatters going, let's wear those shirts and we'll have no problem spotting each other.
