(Expanding a little on that suggestion,) I did it this way:Had my wife take a regular film-type picture of me. Took it to a processor (Wal-Mart) who would simultaneously make prints and give me the photos digitally on a CD.
Brought it home and accessed it on the CD drive. This processor's CD included software to view the pictures and do some editing, so I cropped it. Then I copied the cropped version to a directory on the hard disk.
Then I sent an e-mail to Pene Azul with the photo as an attachment. Simple.
Some processors (not Wal-Mart) will make digital versions for you from pre-existing negatives, so you don't HAVE to take new photos for the purpose. Wal-Mart (and some other processors) will only make the digital disk as part of initial development processing.
