all of it folk and yes I had the albums. Because it's samba and pagode everyone lumps it in with jazz ( which it influenced along with bossa nova). But Samba is a folk music that came from the bairros of Rio and São Paolo. Also, if you read any of Jorge Armado's work ( he recently died) you will see he uses it and his literature is based purely in the Northeast of Brazil.
