There have been a lot of threads about the problems music sessions in some parts of England are having with Public Entertainment Licences being required, and so forth.
The threads have got pretty long, and inevitably repetitious. But for anyone who is at all interested in this, but who might have stopped following the discussion, here is a very useful link to an organisation which has been set up set up to fight this through,The Campaign for Live Music (CaLM>
So as well as posting this in the aforementioned threads, I've posted it here in its own thread, to give it a better chance of being seen. And acted upon.
Incidentally, does anyone else have the same problem I have with writing Pubic Entertainment Licence by mistake, and the spellchecker missing it? Only just caught it at the last moment this time. (Mind you the PEL legislation does include provision for lapdancing, so as mistakes go it's not that far adrift. But not in any sessions I've encountered as yet.)
