The "where do Mudcatters live" thread reminded me that many of us who stay in one place for a long time encounter the encroaching mob. Eventually, what we truly love about a place is drowned out in one way or the other. It seems a common thread in folk music (singer/songwriter branch). What are your favorites of the genre?

Two that come to mind for me are The OLD ROSE AND CROWN by Ian Robb and THE OLD TRAIL by Steve Gillette and Charles John Quarto.
