I didn't read the first thread so these may have been mentioned. Tom Paxton did two powerful anti-war songs, "My son John", which is subtle and beautiful, and "I never killed before" which is acerbic, bitterly sarcastic.I think it was Hot Rize that did a song about someone's dying which never fails to make me tear up, but I can't think of the lyric or title. They played it here in Boulder when Charles Sawtelle (?) died. This may be so Boulder-centric that it doesn't ring any bells anywhere else.
