Anybody heard a song called "The Pattern" written by Kim McKee, performed by her and her husband, Ken Willson? They are out of Montana and it, along with others of theirs, is a really beautiful song. It's about how women of sea-farin' men knitted special patterns in their sweaters, so that if they were found washed ashore, they'd know who their families were.Kim wrote another one about women coping, which is really fun called the "Calgon Getaway".
She is also a wicked hammer dulcimer player and composer. Her piece "Tempestad" is a tour de force.
Don't know them personally, just try to see them perform whenever they come to town. They are at Rimrock Music P.O. Box 704 Polson, MT 59860, for anyone looking for new songs to add.
