The bloke in the shop was aware that it was stolen but reckoned if he bought it for £20 we had a better chance of getting it back than if he had rung the police and frightened the thieves off. He then spent all day trying to trace the owner by ringing all the pubs clubs etc and asking if they knew anyone who had a banjo with a duck on it!!
