Thread Name: Lyr Add: Ag Pleez Daddy (Jeremy Taylor)
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: Ag Pleez Daddy
I notice this thread also asked for more info on JT. This is from 1998:
Known throughout South Africa for his comic song Ag Pleez Daddy, Jeremy Taylor first appeared on the London stage in 1963 with the musical revue Wait a Minim! which also featured ethnomusicologist Andrew Tracey (also on the Festival Fringe leading the Wood and Air workshop on xylophones at the St Andrews College Design and Technology Centre).

From there Jeremy became a leading exponent of satirical songs on the British folk scene, enjoying a two-year stage partnership with Spike Milligan.

He returned to South Africa in 1979 to play one-man shows, TV and stage acting roles. He returned to Britain in 1994 to lecture on South Africa and now lives in Montgomeryshire.
RtS (his lyrics don't seem to be on the web anywhere)
