There is a Kirk Hammerton in North Yorkshire, a Kirk Ireton and a Kirk Langley in Derbyshire, and a Kirk Sandall in Doncaster. Those are all the Kirk-somethings in the UK that are listed in the Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names, which is usually pretty complete. I think we can safely assume that Kirk Douglas (as a town or village) is fictional (in case there was any doubt).
