If a pilot is flying faster than the speed of sound and he farts, his anus is hopefully also travelling inside the plane at the speed of sound so of course he's gonna hear it! However, if a hummingbird hovers in a stationary position outside the plane, and it farts when the plane goes by, the pilot will not hear it. (Likewise the hummingbird wouldn't hear a pilotfart.)
