Hi, Jeremie - the others have given good information. Loreena McKennitt sings mostly traditional songs, but she adds her own variations. We have many of those same songs in our Digital Tradition Folk Song Database, but usually not her specific version. We emphasize the songs here, not the performer. We prefer the historic version of a song, rather than a version modified by a modern performer.
Loreena McKennitt does a very good job of supplying lyrics for her recordings. This is a good thing, because her diction leaves something to be desired [grin] (I'll admit her singing sounds beautiful).
