Doonsbury is classed as an editorial cartoon. But one has to remember that a cartoonist's job is humour. His job is to point out a politician's weak points through exageration. If you don't agree with him you will probably not find it so funny. But it is not a big deal.

GNU, The comment you are talking about, Is that where Bush said something along the lines of "There is no relationship more important for the US than the one with Mexico"?

You know you have to expect politicians to suck up. He seems to have left room to say that the relationship with Canada is of equal importance. And no doubt, next time he is in front of Canadian politicians he will.

Canada and the USA have an interesting relationship. Remember Mulroony's quote about sleeping with an elephant? In general Canadians know a lot about the US and USA people know almost nothing about Canada. Canada is usually better off when the Yanks don't notice her. So please don't make too much of a fuss. Now, if they would only stop blaming us for their bad weather.

On the subject of relative IQ's Since average IQ is 100 and only a very rare genius goes over 150. I don't think anyone could get to be president with an IQ under 100, no matter who your dad is. It is highly unlikely that Clinton has twice the IQ. But so what if he does? I am sure that delegation and teamwork are what counts in that job. And George is smart enough to surround himself with good people.
